I started writing my novel!!! A mood board.

I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm excited. Come along for the ride...

This week, I started writing my novel. I didn’t exactly mean to, but I guess it’s similar to finding love the second you stop looking for it. If I’m honest with myself, I suppose I’d been subconsciously trying to come up with the novel’s opening for a couple months now—wondering how it’d eventually come to me, completely overthinking it of course—until suddenly I was like wait, I already have pretty much the whole plot figured out, and I’m just holding it in my head, waiting for the muse to strike me with the perfect, brilliant, literary first line? That’s silly, I know the story, I should just start by telling it to the reader. Like, duh?
